I had a tree service come out to give my trees a little TLC and while they were here I asked them to hang a large windchime in my front Pecan tree. It was quite the orchestration! In this photo, if you look closely, you'll see Polo dangling from a rope in the tree, holding the windchime with his feet while he cables it to the tree:
Next he dangled around while I determined what height looked best:
I've since determined that I need practically gale-force winds to make it chime, but it has a wonderfully low, medodious sound when it does chime. My neighbors have actually complained to me that they have NOT heard it chime and that they WANT to! That's an odd turn of events, no? Usually one worries that their chimes are too loud for the neighbors!
Regardless, I like the look of it hanging there -- it's peaceful.
